The build
This 1990 Nissan 240SX is a purpose-built V8-powered drift car with an LS2, CD009 transmission, extensive GKTech suspension, full roll cage, AEM electronics, and a long list of supporting modifications throughout the chassis. Built to be driven, the car combines the lightweight S13 chassis with a naturally aspirated 6.0L LS2, Nissan CD009 transmission, 350Z rear drivetrain components, Fortune Auto suspension, GKTech angle and suspension components, and a fully integrated AEM engine management and data logging system. This isn’t a stock 240SX with a few bolt-ons. The engine bay, chassis, suspension, drivetrain, electronics, cooling system, brakes, and interior have all been modified around the car’s intended use. This 240SX represents years of development rather than a collection of parts thrown together for a giveaway. From the LS2/CD009 powertrain and modified S13 chassis to the GKTech suspension, AEM electronics and dedicated safety equipment, nearly every major system has been addressed with the goal of creating a functional drift car. Now, one winner gets to take over the controls.
